Team A (In Favor of AI) - This team will talk about the benefits of AI and why it is good for the world.
Team B (Be Careful About AI) - This team will explain why we should be careful about AI and what problems it might cause.
How the Competition Works?
Registration: Students need to register for the debate competition. They can sign up individually, and we will assign them to a team (Team A or Team B).
Topic Announcement: The main topic of the debate is: "Is AI a Boon or a Threat to Our Future?" Teams will be divided based on this topic.
Preparation: Students will be given time to prepare their arguments. They can use books, the internet, or talk to teachers to learn more about AI.
Submit a Video: Record a video and submit it.
Evaluation - First Round: Experts will review and select the top 20 students.
Debate Day: Students will take turns to speak. Each student will have 3-4 minutes to present their views.
Result Announcement: Judges will evaluate the debate based on how clear, strong, and convincing the arguments were.
Evaluation Criteria
Clarity: How clearly did the student speak? Was it easy to understand their points?
Content: How well did they research and present their arguments? Did they use good examples and facts?
Confidence: Did they speak confidently and with good body language?
Rebuttal: How well did they reply to questions and defend their points during the debate?
